Basket Hall Sports Complex

Basket Hall Sports Complex

The Basket Hall was designed for team sports, various athletics and gymnastics events and training activities. Two spacious halls form the main part of the Complex. An arena for sporting events with stands for 7,482 seats is located in the main building which is an elongated octagon in plan view. The number of seats can be increased up to 8,000 for concert performances, with the addition of seats on the ground floor.

There is a four-level passage between the main building and the auxiliary building, on the second floor of which is a training hall for up to 500 people. The Sports Complex is constructed of “cast in place” reinforced concrete (a total of 11,000 tons of concrete and 2,500 tons of reinforcing steel).

The roof structural system for the main building, which is a steel space truss construction with cross dimensions of 96 x 68 m and a weight of 450 tones, was designed and developed by Odak Construction. The construction rests on ten solid piers incorporating stairs and elevators.

Well-coordinated work by professionals in all divisions of the ODAK Group has resulted in a new, modern Sports Complex in Kazan, which is available for any large-scale sporting event.
